My passion lies in working with individuals along their journey to parenthood, whether it be trying to start their families, navigating pregnancy and/or loss, or adjusting to life postpartum. I am here to support and empower you wherever you are. The reality is that many individuals may struggle at some point throughout their journey when building their families. Some may struggle with the loss of control felt throughout the perinatal journey, from fertility challenges throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Some may experience adjustment and transition challenges, while others may notice more significant problems associated with postpartum depression or anxiety. Some may struggle with navigating the societal pressures and demands placed on them to do it all “perfectly.” I recognize and value the need to expand services to those who may be silently struggling with the challenges associated with the perinatal journey. I have received my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and am trained to support those who struggle with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).

My training and experience additionally extends to supporting individuals with the following challenges:

  • Generalized Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Life Transitions

  • Low self-esteem and self-worth

  • Poor self-image/body-image

  • Interpersonal difficulties (e.g., communication, boundary-setting)

My training and experience

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and empowering environment for my clients. I recognize that an individual’s unique experience is impacted by many internal and external factors; therefore, I incorporate a holistic approach in exploring different dimensions of life that could be positively or negatively impacting a client’s growth and progress. I work collaboratively as a team with my clients through utilizing a person-centered approach. When appropriate, I also believe in gently challenging clients to try and reframe their ways of thinking to help increase self-awareness and insight. I love helping clients discover and utilize their inner strengths to come to a place of self-discovery, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. Clients can expect that we will work together to navigate and address difficult experiences and emotions during sessions; however, I know therapy can be hard work. I make sure to remind clients to celebrate the wins and laugh when needed!
